Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace (1/2 day workshop)

Bullying and harassment means any unwanted behaviour that makes someone feel intimidated, degraded, humiliated or offended. It is not necessarily always apparent to others and may happen in the workplace without an employer’s awareness.

Course Overview:

This course provides practical examples of how to implement and adhere to your company’s harassment and bullying procedures as well as up-to-date information on the legal requirements How many of your managers know how to deal with a complaint relating to bullying and harassment? Are they aware of the pitfalls of getting it wrong? Are they aware of the difference between bullying and harassment? If their answer to the above would be ‘no’, ‘perhaps’ or ‘not sure’ this course is for them. This course is ideal for HR professionals, managers and supervisors who are responsible for investigating issues, conducting investigations, hearings and imposing sanctions.   Appropriate for all levels of knowledge and experience.

  • Operate within the law and understanding the requirements the law places on you

  • Understand when to invoke the company’s Disciplinary Policy
  • Understand what should be considered when imposing a disciplinary sanction
  • Understand individual rights and the need for appeals
  • Know how to re-establish working relations between all parties involved
