What is GDPR?

For full details check out the dedicated homepage for GDPR but in brief it includes:

  • Data protection by design: Protect personal data against misuse
  • Data minimisation: Collect and keep as little personal data as possible
  • Right to be forgotten: Delete all of an individual's personal data on request
  • Managing consent: Define specific uses when obtaining consent
  • 72hr notification: Determine the extent of a breach and notify the affected users
  • Integrity and availability: Restore access to personal data quickly following an outage
  • Accountability: Log and provide audit trails for all data consents and requests

Every organisation that collects or processes the personal data of EU residents is subject to the GDPR and must comply, no matter where they're located.

How can we help?

We are running a series of workshops in Belfast, Dungannon & Newry in October and November. We have teamed up with local document security experts M1 Documents to deliver a 4 hour workshop followed by a private 1-2-1 session to help put your new-found knowledge into practice. Our workshops offer practical advice and solutions to the GDPR puzzle.

1 hour brief on new GDPR vs current DPA regulations

2 hour session on completing a pre-audit questionnaire

1 hour Cyber Security overview

1 hour follow up session (within 2 weeks)
