National Fire Prevention Week October 9th - 15th 2011

Stay Safe at Work With These Fire Prevention Tips
During National Fire Prevention Week, October 9 - 15, 2011 attention is focused on promoting fire safety and prevention, however we should practice fire safety all year long. Many potential fire hazards go undetected because people simply do not take steps to fireproof their workplace.

•    Conduct a weekly Fire Alarm drill
•    Ensure all staff are trained in fire awareness
•    Ensure all fire exits are not blocked
•    Ensure all smoke detectors are working
•    Ensure all extingquishers are serviced yearly
All businesses need to have all staff trained in Fire Awarness Training - its compulsory and its the Law.  Businesses should have a fire evacuation procedure and assembly point.  Businesses should ensure they have had a fire risk assessment done yearly.

Keep your business premises SAFE
Keep your employees SAFE
